Senses working overtime...

I heard a soft scratching noise coming from behind me. I turned around to see my beloved Bowie was sitting almost majestically on the couch, looking straight at me. Next to him was my knitting bag. I turned back around to continue replying to my emails. Then I heard it again. I turned around faster to catch him trying to tear off my cupcake keychain from the handle of my knitting bag. Sneaky bastard.

I've come to realize with this intarsia piece, I can't strangle my needles with the yarn to make super tight stitches or it changes the gauge in the piece. At least on the pattern I'm working with. So it's a challenge for me not to, because I am a tight knitter, I like my stitches smashed together. It keeps hats, scarfs, and sweaters warmer, but since this is a bag, I guess it's no really matter. There's a HINT of what I'm creating!

This morning at work, I poured too much milk and when I went to steam it, it spilled over and onto the bar. I tried my best to use my really shitty Phantom Limb voice to explain that "I made a bit of a mess". At least it humored me.

I'm waiting for the mail to get here. I have no idea what time it comes around, but I'm going to take a nap on the couch and wait for a knock at the door.

I don't think I told any of you this. In fact, I think a total of four people (two of which live with me) know that I have two new tattoos above my elbows. Pretty pink bows. They're not done with a heavy outline. In fact, I asked the artist to make them romantic and feminine, unlike my cartoonish collection. They look beautiful. I'm very proud of them.

I just realized that I make at least $600 more dollars (on average) a month between my two jobs than I did at Home Depot. And I'm much happier. Way to go, me!
