Class at 8:30 this morning waited for the bus about 10 min in 25 degree weather. Had some cigarettes to keep me warm. Sweet sweet warmth of death. Anyhow got to class (Genetics) and learned about the INDY mutation in fruit flies (INDY stands for I'm not dead yet), turns out this mutation disallows receptors for the Krebs cycle and in turn the fruit flies metabolize slower and therefore create less free radicals. Turns out they live twice as long as regular fruit flies. So here is the news you can use. Stop eating -- YOU'LL LIVE FOREVER. In all seriousness however cutting back your caloric intake by half can increase your life span upwards of 5 years. Neat, yes. Functional, no. In fact I'm going to go eat the steak kabobs that I'm grilling.
Work was a lot of fun. All I did was shelve books, and for some odd reason I really enjoyed it.
Catch y'all on the flip.
