Went to work today.Enjoyed it. A lot. Got wandering through the manuscripts. Among the curiosities are that we have none of Harry Crews manuscripts.The real curiosity is the Jimmy Buffet manuscripts including "Come Monday." Among the highlights was when Jim (my boss) pulled out a manuscript for THe Yearling. One of my favorite books when I was about eleven. I was in awe. Rawlings' handwritten additions and deletions. One of these days I'll sit down and read the whole thing including notes. Should be fun.
Racquetball tonight. Then smoked deer and hog and a few beers. Class tomorrow.
