Well actually... she's been returned for a while and I've been trying to ignore it. But last week it got to be too much. She continues to smoke while delivering the mail and even all the way up to my doorstep with the packages. A couple of weeks ago I had some friends here when she dropped a package and I met her at the door. She was obviously surprised and a little flustered and gave me a quick stuttered "sorry about the cigarette" which my friends got a giggle out of.
I've been ordering some art supplies off of Ebay lately (mostly paper products) and with that I've been getting more packages again.... and every time I get packages they smell like the inside of a bar. Once or twice I wondered if it was the sender but once I got to the items I was shipped they didn't smell at all... just the outside of the boxes. Paul was trying to be nice one day last week when he pulled a package off the doorstep and open it for me, except that he couldn't stand the smell and finally gave up to let it air out for a while. Then Saturady my friend came over (same one who was here when the mail lady made the comment), when Paul went to let her in he saw the package on the doorstep and brought it in. I don't recall ever even seeing the mail lady go by that day so I have no idea how long it had been out there, but it reeked. He tried to hand it off to me and I couldn't stand to have it near me, so I tossed it in the corner but it was still close enough to smell so I kicked it across the room (back to the front door) where it sat for 2 days. Luckily, it wasn't anything that couldn't handle a swift kick.
After my friend left I went online and left a complaint via the USPS website (it was already too late to call). Then yesterday I called and left a complaint verbally. Supposedly , someone is suppose to call me and follow up within 2 business days... that said, I did notice I had a different delivery person today. We'll see how long it lasts.
