Forever and a Day...

Like the title says, it's been about that long since I've updated this...

So here's what’s going on...

First, Happy 4th of July to all that read this. I really celebrated the 'fourth' yesterday BBQing at Jason Vanderykes house. We had some people over and ate burgers and beer. The burgers were really good. The beer was really good too but then again, when isn't beer good? We all sat around talking and hanging out, enjoying the day away. My dad brought some dry ice home on Friday, and I brought some over to Jay's to blow up some 2 liters. You just crush up some chunks of dry ice, put them into the bottle, add some tap water and cap it up. Then throw it somewhere and hide. It usually takes a little bit for the pressure to build up, but it's definitely worth the wait. The explosion is VERY noisy and the bottle blows to bits. My Dad and Ralph did a few on Friday when I was at home and we're still finding shards of plastic around the front lawn.

When the sun began to go down at Jason's, we all drove over to Clawson for their fireworks celebration. The guys piled into Jay's car which left me with the girls...4 of them (weee!) to ride with me. I had consumed my last beer (I had three total all day) about three hours prior to leaving for the fireworks, so the girls decided I was the most responsible driver out of the guys to ride with. When we got there, I laid out my blanket for the chicas to sit on and we all sat back and watched the show a couple feet from where they were launching the fireworks. I brought my digital camera to see how well it works in the dark, and it's very impressive. I managed to record video of the grand finale and the play back was just as good as being there. The picture is crisp and clear, and the microphone picked up the crowds cheers through all the loud explosions of the fireworks. Money well spent.

After the fireworks, everyone drove back to Jay's where they decided to go to Woody's. By then it was after 11pm, and I was convinced that the bar would have been packed and we would never get in, I mean, it's 4th of July weekend, right?? So after arguing and bullshitting for nearly an hour, we got in our cars and drove downtown. The main reason we were going was so that our friend Matt could go visit his girl (ex?) Carly and see how she had been. I didn't want to go because I just had a feeling that we couldn't get in- that and my cousin Kyle had called me a little earlier and said he was having friends over and BBQing over there- with a full keg (bonus). Why would I want to go to Woody's and spend money when I can have just as good a time at Kyle's, if not better, for free?? But Matt wanted to see Carly, so I stopped being a whiney bitch and we went. And it wasn't packed...we got in...and upstairs in less than 10 minutes. I still maintain it took us forever...=0P

We chilled at Woody's for an hour or so and Kyle ended up showing up there anyway with Josh and Jim. I wish he had called me first, because Woody's was basically dead (sausage fest) and he would have had a better time at his house. Oh well. I'm going to his house on Monday for a BBQ/party/I bring the hot dog buns for beer get together. This weekend has been pretty good so far. I spent it with my friends which is good, because I won't be able to party on the weekends for a long while...More on that later.

So like I said, today, is the 4th. Sunday. And because of the weather, I didn't make any plans with anyone. While it was really warm out today (very muggy) it rained off and on ALL damn day. Michigan is strange...It would pour buckets for five or ten minutes, and then the sun would shine bright and the hot muggy-ness would return. Then dump some more...then sun...then dump WHILE the sun was shining. I just stayed in all day cleaning my room and well, sleeping. I slept nearly the whole day away. Then I did something stupid. I washed my bed sheets, my pillow cases and a small load of clothes altogether, but I forgot to take my brand new cell phone out of my pants...and guess what happened! Yeah, I hope the Cingular store near my house is open tomorrow, or I'm out of a phone. I'm wetaded. I really like my new phone, and I've had it for about three weeks...and I've already goofed it up.

More....later......
