No summertimes blues here
Feeling a little better at the moment. I've been busy job hunting and such this past week. Faxed 4 copies of my resume to various Land Survey companies, as well as applied via internet to one warehouse up the street from my place that's hiring. Some gigantic corporate engineering company had an ad online for Land Surveyors in their Hunt Valley location, so I applied online. Need to make a ton of follow-up calls this week. Not sure what's gonna happen at this point, but I'm doing the best I can, so something good's bound to happen.. Right? -_-
Last night was fun with the usual crew. Went to the Friendly Tavern and got drunk on $1 Killian's drafts. Actually, I wasn't even all that "drunk", despite having 3 Yuengling's two hours before, and then drinking something like 6 or 7 Killian's at the Friendly. Being home has revived the alcohol tolerance. It helped me forget that my tendinitis flared up something awful on Thursday night and yesterday afternoon. Couldn't move my wrist hardly at all, and had to walk around with it wrapped in an ace bandage. It's been bearable up to this point, but now I'm actually gonna try to do the hot/cold therapy like I was supposed to be doing all along.
I just really want a friggin' job already so things can get back to normal, and I can finance a car. I'm sick of driving around my step-father's minivan. It not only gets shit for gas mileage, but the A/C is worthless in that giant thing, so I might as well be driving a sauna on wheels. Oh, and did I mention.. IT'S A FUCKING MINIVAN. >_<
Hoping I'll be able to finance a Scion xD. A decent-looking, affordable, economic hatchback car that can actually fit ALL of my drums in one trip. Compared to other cars similar to it, it's by far the better looking one.
Onto other things.. I don't think I mentioned on this blog that I'm an Uncle now. But I am. I have a little nephew who's just a few weeks old. Cute lil' guy, and looks a lot like Aaron. Scary. ;p
