It takes time to figure out what you want to do in this world. It takes some years, even whole lifetimes to finally realize why they're here. Kids don't know. They hear tales from their elders speaking of great things they've done and what they've achieved. But to me, those stories were only second best to the real stories, the ones where your dad was fighting for your mother when they were just dating. Or, when your best friend puked in a car while driving it, then tried to put the cup it was in into the cupholder. Stories like that, even if they're not anything alike, whether its wasting time being a human or defending what you love the most. So much heart and feeling go into them, and the last time I checked, those stories never had anything to do with being overworked at the office and never seeing your kids. America really scares me sometimes.
