When I see all the posts from those on my flist, I feel like such a slacker. Where does everybody find the time? I suppose I could do without sleep once in a while. ;)
Part 1
So, in an effort to be more involved, I'm going to throw out the latest Photo Meme that's making the rounds. I think I can handle this one as it doesn't require any deep thinking or need to be witty so if you want to play :
List up to three (3) things you would like me to take pictures of. Once I've gathered up all the requests, I'll make a post with the pictures I managed to take.
Part 2
I can make no promises as to when it wil be done but I am working on the Art Meme. I was unsure whether I could draw somebody other than Remus or Tonks but inspiration struck this weekend concerning Draco's portrait so I figure what the heck. Oh, and
hrymfaxe triple-dog dared me so I can't back out now!
Part 3
What a weekend! Saturday morning I had an early call time at Disneyland for a performance with one of the bands I play with. We did 23 minutes in the Carnation Plaza for the few people who weren't waiting in line for the Nemo ride, and then they let us play in the park for the rest of the day...for free! I had only enough time to ride Space Mountain, Pirates and Haunted Mansion before I had to leave cause I had a birthday party to attend. And not just any birthday party...a 100th birthday party!
I tell ya, Bob's Big Boy really came through. The corporate office made up a beautiful, personalized, hand drawn poster commemorating the event. The Manager and staff came out with a gift of golf balls and congrats and they later brought out Bob Big Boy himself! That was a little freaky as the costume had no eyeholes for the poor employee to see through and somebody had to lead him/her around. Very disconcerting.
Grandpa started the day with a round of golf with my parents and uncle. I'm sure he outplayed them all!
He blew so hard, the middle candle fell over!
With the freaky Bob and his kids. John, Jacquie and Jean (my mom).
Family photo time. This one is with grand kids and great grand kids. Grandpa wouldn't sit down for the excrusiatingly long photo session as he said he'd been sitting all through dinner.
...and the rest. We're only missing my sister's husband and her two boys who stayed behind in the Philippines.
A lovely time was had by all and Grandpa looks good to go for another 10 or so years.
I best be getting back to work.
