Dude, spiritual leaders are human too. They have no more a direct connection to God than you do. They just have more stupid human responsibilities, and it's just more obvious when they are human because they have more people around to point it out. Maybe what you need to learn is that you need to help the people you can and realize that the well-being of the entire world's population (or at least the part you come in contact with) does not rest solely on you. There are some people that don't want to be helped, there are some who don't know how to accept it, with some it will take time, with some it will happen right away, but just because one person did not want to be diagnosed or become a project by working on something without consultation- does not mean that you no longer have a purpose in life. Dude, it's one person. And their position doesn't matter. God's calling does. But trust me I know, it's hard to not let that one person get you down.
