update and stuff
I have been a very bad LJ’r for not posting more often. So here are the highlights. I had a great time at Kathryn’s BD party. Didn’t do to bad at the Pleasant Hill Country Craft Fair, but probably won’t do that one again. My family came down from Northern California, my brother and sister-in-law from Denver and my parents came up from Mexico the week before Thanksgiving, the day after the Pleasant Hill show. All fun but leading to a very tired Danita.
Mom is still having problems passing out from low blood pressure attacks. I found her on the floor of my closet and she was conscious but in the processes of getting her up and into a chair she checked out for a while. Her PB was 78/60. Her doctors just can’t seem to get her PB regulated. Love my mom dearly but she has no business trying to help in the kitchen, her hands shake so bad she is constantly dropping food, hot food, pots and pans with hot stuff in them. She will either hurt herself or the other person in the kitchen (me). On top of this she wants to go take her driving test. Another thing she has no business doing is driving. She will wreck and kill herself or someone else on the road. And yes I have told her this. My only hope is that she won’t pass it again. She can’t concentrate to read the question and then to put down the answer. So should not be driving!
Weight loss before Thanksgiving: 100 lbs. Now just have to see if I am still at 100 lbs. post Thanksgiving. According to Doctor MM I have actually lost 110 lbs. Happy Dance time. Now I just need to lose the last 30-50 lbs. It’s time to get back to the gym.
Ray and I worked really hard last weekend and worked on cleaning the garage. Still have more to do, but made excellent progress. One or two more weekends and it should be done. Of course I will owe Ray major game playing time. Playing board games is his stress relief. He loves to play Catan and has recently gotten into 1960 and Mr. Jack which are 2 player games.
I am so not ready for the holidays. I have orders I am working on this week and next. I haven’t started my shopping yet. Due to finances this year I am cutting way back on giving gifts. I am still down a room mate and still at Baker. That says it all!
