Takizawa Enbujou!!
So, as of today, me and Rebecca saw Takizawa Enbujou a grand total of 4 times (and literally, two of them were two days in a row). But I have to say, I REGRET NOTHING XD At first we were only going to go see it twice, then somehow, we found reasonably priced tickets, so decided to go two more times XD We also really wanted to go on Fukka's birthday, just to see what kind of special stuff they would do (they brought it up a lot, and bullied him endlessly, it was adorable and seriously was my favorite of the shows). The show itself was super awesome and really pretty and I really enjoyed it a lot. It probably helps that I really like all the juniors that are involved in it X3 There were times where it was really hard to contain the feels, so me and Rebecca just started whacking each other whenever the feels got to be too much (which was like literally probably like every 5 minutes XD;;;;)
So to start with, the first day we were on the first floor in the 11th row on the right hand side, the seats were AMAZING. All of the snow children, and especially Noeru, were super close up, and it was really nice being able to see their faces X3 It was seriously overwhelming to watch, mostly because we like so many people, that it's hard to pick out one or two to focus on. But to start with, the Violinist came out and started playing, which was really pretty. Then Iwamoto came out and was literally dancing RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. His dancing was super pretty!! Then Sakuma came out on the side stage and was dancing with a sword. The first time I hadn't noticed, but the second time I did, that as he was dancing, he was cutting down the ribbons that hung from the top of the stage. On the third day, the last banner fell totally on Iwamoto XD At some point Tackey came out too, but, to be honest, I really wasn't watching this for him XD;;
Then they came out and sang the typical song, with tackey flying around in his red suit. But that is also the part where EVERYONE comes on stage and do the super awesome dance. Snow children were in the center, and Noeru was on the side we were on for the first day. Watching Noeru dance was seriously super awesome, I just love all the faces he makes, and how super pleased with himself he is (and I mean this in that he's just too adorable for words X3) Snow children and Noeru (and I'm assuming others, but I really only noticed them) Did that part that Yara and They did in Kabuki 2010, where they bent all the way to the ground, it was super impressive every time I saw it *_______* Noeru also did a backflip at some point in the song, and I was like YAAAAAY!!! Then snow children left, and came back out in the pink outfits and finished the dance. I think it was something like, snow man in front, and then Tackey got raised up, and then the stage turned and the rest of the juniors were back there. I think it was mostly the Juniors I didn't know (like, Shalf and Takayuki, Fumi-lookalike, etc.) Then by the end, everyone was out dancing again, until the snow children disappeared to get changed for the self introduction part. I was a little sad they didn't get to do amusing self-introductions, but the chibi people did and many people after them got to too (by the way, my baby did this one twice and it was something like "my name in english is 'Life is twinkle'" WHAT IS THAT EVEN X3).
Next they sang a new song, that me and Rebecca have bee referring to the part song. It's really cute song with a super cute dance. Almost everyday, Noeru and Akiyama Taiga would screw around at the beginning, and then drag the E into screwing around with them. One day they were like rubbing their chests together, and today they were sticking their chests out and poking each other X3 Also today, Fukka and The E were like hugging each other and just being really cute. Today also, like towards the end of the song, the E and A-chan were poking each other and then elbowing each other, it was really cute, they did this a couple of time too. Mi-chan's face is super distracting throughout too X3 Noeru was also cute and smiley in this song X3 Next up was the part where the chibi people get to do a tap dance and sing, omg for today's show, my baby lost his shoe at some point in the middle of the dance, but kept going, what even, he's just super cute. Then it's that one thing, where some rival clan attacks their town with guns and they all have to kill themselves (or whatever that is). All I know, is Noeru comes out, shaking his head in despair, then Takayuki comes out singing in that style he does, and then all the chibi people kill themselves, while Iwamoto watches on, and Tackey comes out right after they've killed themselves.
This leads into the mask portion of the show. This year they had these two stand things that had faces on them, one was good the other bad, and they're talking to each other about life or something. I mostly used this time to watches Noeru and Sakuma dance, because they both did different things that were really pretty *_______* Noeru's is more fluid, I guess, with like big postures, whereas Sakuma's is more stylized (like a robot, if that makes sense). Then they do the actual mask part, which is overwhelming to watch, because there's just so much going on. Like they have the H and Shimekake Ryuya on silks above the ground, and it did not look safe, at all D: And at some point, two other people in masks come out and dance with Tackey, and it's just a lot of people back flipping in, grabbing masks and umbrellas and ripping clothes off. It was cool to watch though. Then, after that, 6 people (I'm assuming are snow children) do this part where all the lights go down, and all you can see is the masks they're wearing (which are all the same) and the masks on their hands (which are also the same), and it was really really cool *______* (and also a little freaky, but mostly really cool). Then it's the part where tackey is in his white outfit doing the second mask part, this time with women dancing around him, and Daisuke and the violinist playing in the background. This would normally be the part of the DVD we skip over, and it was nice the first time, but I was like, ok next >.>
Mainly because, the next part was the half naked drumming part, YES *_______* It started off with one of the chibi people playing a drum on the side stage, and another kid in a mask dancing. It was really cool!! And of course, everyone else was standing on the main stage, just standing there shirtless XD My thoughts of course were, dear god snow man are ripped, HOLY SHIT :O Then the actual drumming started, tackey first by himself, then iwamoto on regular drums. I was really amused by Fukka's drumming and his lack of movement, like child, you can move your arms you know? XD And Noeru was SUPER into it and drumming with all his might, it was so cute!! If I can remember, Fukka was next to Taiga, Sakuma was next to Noeru, Matsuko was sharing a big drum that goes up in the hair with the H (I think?) and The E and Ikeda Yu were on the other one. Shimekake Ryuya, Mi-Chan, A-chan and Watanabe were in the back behind Tackey, and Made were in the front. Akiyama Taiga's face was super distracting a lot of the time he was drumming X3 Then I totally almost missed it, but tackey goes to the center of the stage and starts playing the drum while it's rotating around, so that at one point he was upside down and playing, but I honestly almost didn't noticed because I was looking at the juniors, oops XD But this is my favorite part of the show, because the instrumental is really pretty, and everyone's faces X3
Next up was the Revenger replacement song, that I really liked a lot. Tackey sings by himself for a while, then the snow children come out one-by-one and get the spotlight on them, and then they threw up a handful of sakura blossoms and did a little move, like a spin or something, it looked really cool on the stage! They were in the silver outfits ebi wore for 2010. Next up, Noeru, Taiga, shimekake ryuya, Inoue, and my baby came out and do the segway part where they talked about enbujou coming back to that theater, and how Tackey's been doing it for 8 years, then the BBJ boys of snow man came out and they watched footage from enbujou 06, while tackey put him make up on. Everyday usually involved my baby making fun of Fukka X3 For the first day, when fumi was on the screen, fukka was like hugging watanabe, i love that he's the biggest fumi fangirl there is X3 Then every day they would try and work in tackey promotion, for either his show or solo con DVD. It was cute because a-chan would run out with the sign on the side stage, and like jump and spin and do the promotion, while mi-chan, the h, sakuma and the E were on the main stage, also with signs. It was so funny, especially mi-chan's face X3 Also, today, Shimekake Ryuya messed up his line halfway through, and like smacked his face. It was legit adorable.
Then it was time for the chibi people to sing With Love, 2 out of 4 times my baby dropped his fan, and today he almost dropped it X3 Then it would be a close up of tackey applying his makeup, and usually his mirror would have more of an advertisement for which ever thing they were advertising that day. Then, the chibi people came back and did the part that usually comes after the boys dressing up like girls and stealing stuff skit, but only they did it for themselves and not any character. I remember one kid being like, tackey is alright, but I prefer tsubasa. etc.
Next the enbujou part of the show started, made and mad were on the side stage singing, while a-cyan, watanabe, mi-chan and sakuma (I think) were on the main stage with like sweeper things dancing, and taiga was also there too doing stuff, but I didn't really watch him any day. Then tackey came out, and did like sword stuff with snow children, and was fighting two of the acrobats. They climbed up a ladder, and on the second day we were seriously so close to where he came up, like he was feet away from us :O Then he climbed up another ladder that was being held up by all the juniors, Mi-chan's face really amused me because he was like the spotter to make sure it was set up properly, but his face is already intense as it is, and it was even more intense, which makes sense since Tackey and the one other guy climbed it, and the guy had to hang from it. But still, mi-chan was amusing X3 Then they lowered them down and pun them around, and Iwamoto did this thing where he tossed a sword to mi-chan, who was on the main stage, from the side stage. Two days was really good, and then like the last time we saw it the toss was giri giri.
Then Akiyama Taiga and Tomi-chan came out and were like olden taxi people, carrying a carriage. Akiyama Taiga's face was super detracting and adorable. At some point they open it up, and tackey is in there, as a women, and that's when they start talking about how much they hate tackey XD Except one day, Tackey was like 'I really like tacky!" and they didn't know what to do, it was super cute X3 And the first day, they mentioned sexy zone, because NakaKen and Jessie were there (and actually sitting quite close to us :O). Then the last day we went, Akiyama Taiga dropped his stick on an audience member, it was super super adorable. Next up was the part where they received gifts from the audience, this part was amusing because some of the gift people brought. On Fukka's birthday a lot of people brought him gifts, oh! and to start it out, Tackey rolled out a cake for him and asked him to say something, and he was like, "For right now, gambarimasu!" then before he could blow out the candle, Tackey blew it out before he could, and everyone applauded him (like all the juniors on stage) and Fukka was like, "hey, wait" and I think it was inaba-chan that kept being like, it's ok, calm down, kind of movement. Poor fukka X3 Then, also on his birthday, someone brought him something, and it was in a bag, or Tackey had to put it in a bag, and then he threw it over his shoulder at Fukka, and he tried to catch it, but tripped on the mat, and only caught the bag (because the gift had flung out of the bag), and hit his head, it was so freaking cute. He stood up and was rubbing his head. And at the end, MatsuKo was wiping Fukka's sweat off his forehead with his scarf X3
After this was the like water magic part, then was the last part of act 1 where it was like Taiga falls in love with some demon or something. All I know was it was fall and it turned into winter, and Tackey was some sort of wintery demon, maybe XD This part was super cool, and they did this part with mirrors and a waterfall, and it was Taiga, A-chan, Watanabe, Mi-chan, and Sakuma vs. Tackey and like all the other juniors. And there's this one part where they're all posing while tackey comes out, and like everyone is doing super awesome poses, while Watanabe is just like standing there, barely holding his sword properly XD They also had like Noeru, the H, the E, and I'm assuming Shimekake Ryuya holding giant hand mirrors, it was seriously really pretty to watch *_____* And at the end they dump all the snow on top of people.
For the second act they did Yoshitsune, and this act basically consisted of Fukka breaking my heart as Saburo, because he was seriously PERFECT for the role. He also had an ad-lib part, and on his birthday they made him do it three times X3 And the shadow puppet part I normally find boring, was really cool in real life, and Fukka has really nice hands *______* And for his birthday, taiga's dad was like, keep doing the shadow puppets, and fukka was like, well no one can see it, and he was like yes they can, see, and pointed to fukka's spotlight. Then taiga's dad was like, fine turn and do a kakkoi pose, so he did X3 Also Iwamoto was super evil, and it was fantastic. The first day, we were sitting so close, we could see the crazy eye, and it was *________*!! The E was also super awesome, like quiet and quickly people. The last fighting scene was really cool to watch happen in front of you. It was a bitch for junior spotting because they're all constantly running around and dying and coming back (I think sakuma or akiyama taiga died the most XD). Watching Noeru was especially enjoyable, because I swear, in his own mind he's the star of the play, and just super into X3
Then after all of that, they sang With Love, like always, and it was nice being in the audience, because then I could actually watch the video of all the peace photos! Snow Children's group photo was REALLY cute (it's all of them holding Fukka X3). The first day I couldn't see Noeru, but it was fine, since I watched Fukka, again, his hand are just really pretty doing the hand dance *_______* The second day, we could see Noeru, and he got like 3 sakura blossoms stuck in his hair, and kept trying to shake them off without using his hands, and he couldn't get them off X3 And, when he was doing it, he kept just randomly smiling while he was singing with all his might X3
Overall, I really enjoyed Enbujou, and I'm glad I saw it so many times, because the snow children. In real life, Mi-chan is so freaking distracting, because his face XD As for goods, I ended up with the pamphlet, and all of fukka's and iwamoto's stage photos, as well as Noeru's, Akiyama Taiga's and one Mi-chan one (because his face XD)
