Yunho/Jaejoong | Yoochun/Changmin | r
It’s supposed to be Kim versus Jung. Not Kim loves Jung.
iv Throughout his vacation in Seoul, Jinho’s statement kept coming to Jaejoong; what could be the reason for the families to loathe each other? Was Yuri really hiding something? And, even if she was hiding something, why was she hiding it? Did she not consider Jaejoong old enough to share the burden with her? And for a brief period of time, he wondered if Yunho was aware of whatever was happening? And why had Yunho disappeared? Where had he gone?
He apologizes profusely to Yoochun when Changmin and he had come to drop Jaejoong off at the airport; most of the trip, Jaejoong spent obsessing about The Jungs and his family. “Thank you so much for putting up with my uselessness.” Jaejoong says, hugging Yoochun tightly.
“Shut up.” Yoochun replies, smiling. “I would put up with any of your behavior, you know that. And I am always here. If you ever want to run away from London and come back here, you know you will always a room ready for you in my house.”
Jaejoong blinks away the tears from his eyes and turns to Changmin; “If you even as much as bring tears to his eyes, I will make sure your face is burnt off. Are we clear?”
Changmin chuckles but looks a little scared; “Don’t you worry about him. I have got him on a pedestal. Take care of yourself, Jaejoong.” He says, wrapping an arm around Jaejoong.
Jaejoong smiles sadly at the both of them; “And, um, if you ever find out anything about Yunho -“
“Don’t worry, you will be the first to know.” Changmin replies.
“Thanks. I’ll text you both when I land.” Jaejoong says, waving and walking towards the departures.
“He’s going to hate me for the rest of his life.” Changmin mumbles, his gaze not leaving Jaejoong’s retreating figure.
“Hm, what? Why?” Yoochun asks, confused as he looks up at Changmin.
“I know where Yunho is.”

Hanbyul, looking sharp and smart, is readily waiting for Jaejoong at the arrivals at Heathrow airport. With a wide smile on his face, he welcomes Jaejoong. “How was your vacation, master?” He asks, taking Jaejoong’s suitcases from him. “How is Seoul? Were the winters still as bitter as last year? Or has it gotten worse?”
Jaejoong smiles and feels a little guilty; “Do you want to go back, Han?” He asks, studying his butler’s facial features. Hanbyul’s family had worked for Jaejoong’s family ever since Jaejoong can remember and so obviously, Hanbyul was family too. He was always there for Jaejoong, especially when his parents were out of town minding business and Yuri was actually never around when Jaejoong was growing up - she was too busy studying all over the world. Hanbyul was not only Jaejoong’s butler, but he was a father figure, a friend, a confidant.
“Go back?” Hanbyul chuckles. “Oh, what do I have left there? My family is here, with you and Miss Yuri.” Hanbyul replies, loading the suitcases into the car.
Jaejoong sighs as he gets inside the car; “How old are you, Han?”
Hanbyul settles into the driver’s seat and looks at Jaejoong through the rear view mirror; “Thirty, master.”
“Haven’t you ever thought of getting married and settling down? Having children of your own.”
“Wouldn’t that be difficult, master? To take care of two households?”
Jaejoong grins at Hanbyul and shakes his head; “What would we ever do without you, Han?”
“I guess you will never find out.” Hanbyul smiles, looking at Jaejoong through the mirror.
“Hey, Han.” Jaejoong looks outside the window as Hanbyul rears the engine to life.
“Yes, master?”
“You’ve been around our family for a long time now.”
“I suppose I have.”
“Do you know why - I mean, what happened between with your family and the Jung family? I mean, something must have happened, right?”
Hanbyul glances at Jaejoong from the rear view mirror; “Master Jaejoong, I think it’s better if you talk to Miss Yuri about it. I don’t think I am the right man to answer these questions.”
“But that means something must have happened, right?”
Hanbyul hesitates a bit; “Yes, master. But, it was all so hushed. And whatever it was, it was between Jung Jinho and your late father.”
“Why hasn’t anyone told me anything? Why am I always kept in the dark?”
“You were far too young, Master. Far too young. In fact, your parents even wanted to put you in another school because their youngest son was in the same class as you. I presume you know him, his name was Jung Yunho.”
The knot in Jaejoong’s stomach jumps to his throat; “Yeah.” He says, turning to look out of the window. “Him, I’ve heard of.”

“Hey, Jaejoong!” Yuri jumps from behind her desk and runs to hug her younger brother. “I know you had only gone for a week but I’ve missed you so much.” She says, pulling Jaejoong into a tight hug.
“I’ve missed you too, Noona.” Jaejoong mumbles into his sister’s shoulder. “Are you free now? I want to talk to you about something.”
“Of course, anything for my little brother.”
You won’t be saying that when I start talking, Jaejoong thinks, pulling up a chair next to Yuri’s desk.
“So, what’s up? How was Seoul?”
“Beautiful.” Jaejoong smiles. “
“Wonderful, how was Yoochun? I hope you weren’t much trouble to his parents, I must send them something as token of thanks.”
“I met Jinho when I was in Seoul.”
Yuri turns to Jaejoong, her face pale and her hands stuck mid-way while reaching her phone; “What?” She asks.
“I met Jinho.”
“Jung Jinho?”
“Jung Jinho.”
Yuri licks her lips nervously and tucks her hair behind her ears; “What, I mean, did he say an-“
“Is there something you have to tell me?”
“What makes you think - “
“Jung Jinho specifically told me to ask you why our families are in war. And, Yunho has been missing for the past year, is there something you have to tell me?”
“Jaejoong, I-“Yuri holds her head in her hands and takes a deep breath, when she looks up, there are tears running down her cheeks. In all this seventeen years, this is the first time, Jaejoong’s seen his sister so weak; even his parents passed, she was strong and kept her stance for Jaejoong’s sanity.
“The thing is, Jaejoong, I was in love with Yunho’s brother.”
“You were in love with Jinho?”
Yuri sighs and reclines into her chair; “No.” She sighs. “They have another brother. I was madly in love with the third brother, the middle one, the adopted one.”
“What?” Jaejoong breathes.
“Yeah.” Yuri laughs through her tears. “Yeah, my boyfriend is Yunho’s step-brother.”

I swear Junsu is going to come up soon, riding on a unicorn from the magical land of “Everything Is Going To Be Fine”
And, of course Changmin knows where Yunho is. Obviously.
