Damn you, high school insecurity

A few days ago, I wrote about GLSEN's project to send safe spaces kits to every high school in the country. I sponsored kits for my old middle- and high-schools, and took the opportunity to write a quick letter explaining why I thought they were important. In the letter to my high school, I wrote about how lucky I was to have an openly gay teacher at the school who was a positive role model for me.

Now, I'm having major, crushing regret.

What if he's back in the closet? What if there's a new administrator who doesn't know? Will they take it the wrong way that the students saw it as good that he was gay?

I hate how just thinking about gay + high school makes me all insecure.
