I haven't updated this journal in about forever and a day, but I decided today to give an update. Things are pretty hectic and crazy here as of now. My wife has gotten HUGE!!! The kid is going to be born on or around the 15th of February, so we're getting closer and closer. For what was supposed to be a difficult pregnancy, everything's gone as smooth and good as possible. Frankly I haven't even seen any major complications during the whole ordeal. It was also confirmed that it's going to be a boy, which is cool, but honestly speaking I would have been happy with either boy or girl. We've decided to name him Mieszko Troy Barott. Pronounced Meyeshko. We are both really happy with the name, and even my parents can pronounce it, so that's good. I've been kind of fucked on my immigration status, so no moves to England for another year. The last resident card I applied for was not applied for early enough, so while waiting for it, it turns out I was here in Poland illegally for about 30 days, so I have to wait another year before I can apply for my permanent resident card. That sucks royal ass, especially since right now Poland is granting amnesty to all the illegals who are already here. Oh well, I don't have the energy or time to really get started on how pissed off I am about all that.
Our apartment is also being renovated, and has been being renovated for about a month now, so hopefully we'll be able to move back there soon. We have an attic upstairs that's being turned into a storage room/possible small room. I haven't seen it yet, but Weronika says it looks pretty cool, so I'm pretty excited. My left arm is almost sleeved. I officially have more ink on my arm than natural skin! Hopefully I've only got 1 or 2 more sessions left on my left arm, and then I'll start to finish my right arm. I was really hoping to have them done sooner, but the tattoo studio I'm going to is about a 3 hour train ride away, so it's not exactly easy or cost-friendly to do so, but it's still nice. I absolutely love the work I've had done.
Once the kid is born, I'm really thinking about starting to work part-time where I'm at and trying to teach some private English classes, just so I can stay at home more with the kid so Weronika's mother isn't stuck with all the day-care. Either that or I'm going to look for a new job. I'm so fed up with this dead-end job I can't even put it into words. Unfortunately, living here there's either this job or going back to teaching English.
And that's about it. I'm sure there's more, but I'll be fucked if I can think of anything else. Maybe I'll post again soon, but most likely not. Unfortunately I just don't have the time or energy to write anymore. And I survived Christmess, which was actually not too bad. Just have to get through New Years, and it's all over for another glorious year!!!
Side note: I have successfully survived New Year's!!! It's all over.
