AnthroCon has been slimy yet satisfying so far. A LOT OF RUNNING AROUND! So far I've managed to spot a
nambroth, an
eldarath a
kitoxa, an
underthebed, and a
kazeno_taka! Been spending most of my time at the Lizard Laminations table helping with the badges, but I've also been running to a lot of different stores to help the artists out with missing supplies. (So as you can imagine my feet are killing me from all the nonstop jogging to and fro.) Eld, Clint, and I are having our first D.O.B. meeting tonight at the local Westin bar, going to grab a few beers to celebrate our first real relaxing break during the weekend. A lot of the fursuiters have been 50/50 in appearance, either they're REALLY FREAKING GOOD or otherwise they're REALLY FREAKING BAD in design and delivery. Our room has been consistently awesome and well tended for by the hotel staff. I've only had to spend $8.00 of my own personal money so far which has been for morning coffee. Everything else like food and booze was brought from our home state and has been keeping us afloat when necessary. Everyone in Pittsburgh is so FUCKING FRIENDLY. O.=.O;;; Like too fucking friendly. I even found people off the streets suddenly engaging me in conversations pertaining to their at home life, married life, sex life, you name it. Attention Pittsburgh individuals! I'm from the Windy City and over there we're used to being cold, apathetic, quiet, keep-to-ourselves, neurotics who walk like we own the joint and streetlights do not apply. Oh! Oh! And driving? We're absolute speed demons. And everyone in Pittsburgh drives like yellow lights are brick walls! In Chicago: yellow lights are another shade of green dammit!!! I almost lost my pocketbook yesterday which was a panic panic panic moment of absolute horror. Underthebed was kind enough to spot me for some supper that I was buying for myself and Sssage; and then more jogging occurred in search for my pocketbook which was happily sitting inside our bathroom untarnished from my absence. So naturally, this morning my feet are killing me and demand off time (which cannot happen this weekend dammit!) More updates later if I get some more free time, today I'm going to check out a used record store located a couple blocks away from the con which intrigues me more than furry stuff. Hope you're all well!
