Forbidden from the Pound!
Its been awhile since i have written. So much has happened. Mainly finals, recording, playing shows, going to shows, and beer pong. Ill be done with all of my shit on Monday. Im gonna pretty informative in this journal though. Too many setlists and songs to talk about. SO Playground has played two shows. June 24th we played at fitz. IT was a day show but our "FUNNY AS SHIT" looking soundguy did a good job with the sound. This past friday the 7th we played at Walter's. That is a fun place to play. I had 2 hours of sleep from the night before from finals, and I had all this shit to do during the day. I was beat by the time we played, but it is always fun and awesome to play with your friends to your friends. Especially because people are starting to listen to us. Playground has played for over a year and half! and we played so many shows that no one even watched or cared in the first month and now every show really hasnt let me down in ahile. We played the same setlist at both shows. But we are switching some shit up for the Helio's show on the 21st......

So on the 29th we saw the show i have been waiting for for a long time... YOUNG LOVE and RORY. Two different sets heaeded by two of my favorite songwriters/performers of all time. Too much to tell. It was really the best show i have seen in years. Rory and his band sounded great. Devon the girl in th band did great with the hramonies, and the guitar player was doin everything from the cd perfectly. This best part about Rory's show was their setlist. It was very nice to hear Never Say Goodbye live. He even sang Gabe's part which was wierd but NO COMPLAINTS.

There was another act in between rory and dans shit. WE used that to get even mor drunk and stoned. I have been listening to so much dan and rory lately that it was surreal seeing them play these songs on stage. From the first song Young Love rocked. THe guitar player from recover did a great job making it from their electonic beat shit to their rockin live sound. Every song was SOOO GOOD. The news ones i had never heard were awesome and the ones i did know perfect and even better live. This was the best set i have seen anyone play in awhile.

Stephen has boughten about 3000+ dollars worth of equipment in the last 7 months. It is ridiculous. We wrote and recorded a new song. Stephen is responsible for the leads and progressions of the guitar and the drums. During my study break i wrote lyrics and a melody to the song and thought about what the bass could do. It is about my late fat labrador and his love affair with The Bujnochs miniature dachsund. Its about 5 years since i have had him around, and this was to help me think about him a lot now. Cosmo is great, and that makes it hard to remember how great Hunter was. A different great of Course. HERE IS THE LINK! Please let me know what you think. It sucks that i do no write that often. I never get to talk about everything else in my life. But i have faith more people will be interest in music than what else makes my days. THis summer has been about Salome, Ricky, Playground of course, playground's inevitably hot girfriends(claire,jess,Jordyn), tom, douglas, cosmo, chris, stephen, zach duran(the regular zach), Toma and his intense job, Robbie(the regular rob), world cup, nba trades, Summer school, basketball, beer pong, Stevo and chris, Meyeyburys up and coming SUPER stardom, and lots of movies. My life doesnt feel very complex right now, and that is nice. That is usually what summer is about. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE SONG? Be prepared to hear many many more songs, with stephens newfound talent and eqiupment. I cant believe how long this was even if i have left like 90% out of most of the events or things that have happened.
