RL v. Fandom: the Battle Begins
I will be starting Chapter 3 of Abandoning Ship soon, hopefully tomorrow (best case scenario - I finish it. Likelihood of that happening=low. ). Alas, I can only offer the age-old excuse that real life must trump fandom.
But seeing as how one of my main real life jobs INVOLVES a fandom (arguably one of the biggest fandoms ever!) it has been particularly painful to NOT have my calzona dose since last week. Couple that with the mini-hiatus of GA - *flail*
I do have to offer this warning (and it will be in the A/N of chapter 3 as well) but the updates will be slower to Abandoning Ship. The fan conference I work for is 3 months and 1 day away and needless to say, I'm swamped. (and my assistant has dropped off the face of the planet which is always FUNNNN) But I hope to get Chapter 3 out with this warning tomorrow. I'm taking my fiancée's car into the shop tomorrow morning (her tail light is out) and will bring my laptop with me, focusing of course on finishing ch. 3 (which is all outlined and ready to be written!)
