Lawn is mowed. Volunteer watermelon plant was a casualty.
Mint parve brownies are in the oven as part of prep for working tomorrow. I'm not sure what it says about my nutritional morals that faced with the choices of pumping milk for Virgil or baking him brownies I went with brownies. On the positive parenting side of the equation I made g&p help bake so it was family time/lesson.
I picked up my beef larder from Polyface today. It looks good. It's all roasts, no steaks it seems, except for some rib steaks. That makes it hard to compare price/quality with whiffletree. I also got 2 chickens to roast for yuntuf. 1 broiler which is so small! Only 3.5#. Ive gotten used to 5# birds. And 1 Freedom ranger. It will be nice to compare them.
I have to decide where to order my thanksgiving turkey from.
Oh and the ants are back. Forcing me to do emergency new years cleaning once again.
