Movies -
Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her - Started out okay, but went downhill after about an hour. It was a little too clever for it's own good. (yeah)
The 400 Blows - I've seen this before, but watched it twice over the past couple days, once with the commentary track. The commentary was fascinating, it made me miss film classes, especially my French New Wave obsessed instructor. I wonder what she's doing now... (This is one of those "must see" films, so I give it a "yeah!")
And now, because I am completely random:
The Princess Diaries - Please do not laugh at me. I thought this was really cute and highly entertaining. I thought I was going to be super annoyed by the "makeover" portion of the movie, but it managed to redeem itself. The mention of the "foot-pop" in old movies amused me and made me think of the opening of another Disney film, "Freaky Friday" (the first one). Anyhow, the high-school dynamics were a bit toned down in the Princess Diaries and the character of Amelia was cool in her own right instead of a hopeless dork like many other films would have rendered a character in her situation. If I were a kid right now (which is debateable), I'd probably watch this over and over. (yeah!)
