Here is something I believe anyone in the performing arts should adhere to.
I am a bard, a teller of tales; I will portray actual events artistically, but will never make light of a tragedy and greatly endeavor to honor the people in my stories.
I am a bard, an excellent musician; I never cease to invest time and energy into sharpening my skills and expanding my knowledge.
I am a bard, a seeker of truth; my endless search will bring wisdom and understanding to myself and those around me, so long as I harm none.
I am a bard, an unparalleled artist; with my instrument as my brush, words as my textures, and a ceaseless array of color in my palette.
I am a bard, a friend to all; I will fight for the weak, comfort the downtrodden, and help only those with the will to help themselves.
I am a bard. I am unique. My strengths will compliment those of my brother.
