What's up dog with you?

Okay, a new entry. Here's the thing, although I don't write alot, i try to write every once in a while especcially when I am reminded to do so by certain teenagers!

Life is going. The past week has been crazy, and not as lovely as it should be. Yesturday I wore a white shirt, got in my car (already running late), and managed to spill soda down the front of it. I had to run into the house and change quick, and of course, do to the wardrobe change i didn't exactly match, but really what are you gonna do??? Then, my dear older brother moved to syracuse and took my newest nephew with him! Then, I got frustrated with our current election, because lets face it...neither one of the candidates are actually good for this country. I think they've both gotten used to telling people what they want to hear, and playing on emotions. Because of that we can't really get a straight answer regarding where this country is or where its going. So then, last night I decided that I wasn't going to vote...but oh!!!! plot twist. We are morally obligated to vote. So then I figured that I just wouldn't vote and I'd go to confession the folloing saturday. BUT then I remembered how truly tragic it is to know you are doing something wrong, but banking on reconciliation to 'fix it'. So then I decided that I do have to vote, so now i am back to square one. Anyway, I float somewhere between voting for bush, and voting for Jesus Christ. I am not sure which one I am going to do yet. And, as a matter of fact, I am not even sure if I am registered, so I might want to check up on that.

Other then that...SJN is going really well. We've got great young people who are dedicated to seeing a strong program. One of my dearest friends moved into town, and is working in farmington as a youth minister. Thats awesome becuase we are able to do joint activities and such. Not a bad deal if you ask me! Anyway, we meet every Wednesday night...whoever is reading this is more then welcome to stop by. I like to get suprised by visitors (as some of you have stopped by know).

Hmm...no real deep words of wisdom today. I have been continually convicted (at least once a day), that the only way we are going to solve the worlds problems is by actively loving people...even if we disagree with how they act, what they stand for or how they go about living their lives. Here's the thing, every commandment, and every Church teaching is grounded in love...if we try to spread the freedom of the commandments and Church teaching without saturating it in love...then it all falls apart. Too many people try to do it without love though, and thats why we have so many people that just don't want to have anything to do with the Christian life.

Ghandi said that he has no problem with Christ, he just didn't meet alot of Christians who acted like him. Hmmm...what does that tell us!?!?!?

Ok, goodbye for now...

Mary
