About a month late, but I could have sworn I had already blogged about it.
Between the tearful confessions, and the blistered soles, and the hours of slaving over costumes I will wear only once, I'd have to say that it was quite a success.
I entered myself into a cardgame tournament for children (though there were none among the competitors in question, strangely enough). I got to witness an elderly gentleman play Exceed (or xyz if you prefer, which i don't) monsters and I was quite impressed when he summoned Revise Dragon on the first turn. It was a surreal experience.
Kitty - a dear friend of mine - and I then took on a Kururugi Suzaku and his friend on a tag duel. It was inconclusive but I would call it a triumph: especially since we sealed off Trishula, the Dragon of the Ice Barrier's devasting effect with a strategically placed Imperial Iron Wall.
All in all, I hope to be in attendance again next year. Hopefully with less painful footwear.
