We upgraded our seats from lawn to like…actual seats. I was surprised, we actually had a GREAT view from the lawn, but upgrading was just $20, so we did that, and got some awesome seats!
While we were waiting for the gates to open, the announcer lady said Augustana was opening up for them. That made me quite happy!
They had a short set, but I definitely had my interest re-sparked! I got kinda bored with them a few months ago, but hey, if any band was going to open, I was happy it was them!
Goo Goo Dolls came up next.
The set is kinda jumbled, but I know I definitely have the opening song right, and the last two in the right spots. But yes, here’s what I remember (probably missing one or two):

Without You Here
I was sad. I had been waiting for Without You Here the ENTIRE show. It just…has a hold on me. So I had my recorder in my pocket, FINALLY the song comes on, and this security guy keeps eyeing me like crazy…like…walking back and forth (you were allowed to have cameras, but no recording devices…I took like…2 minute videos each time, so it was obvious I was recording lol) so I spent like…all of Without You Here stuffing things in my shoes (how I got my voice recorder in actually lol…that’s painful!) But I have all of Without You Here on my voice recorder…I put it on low sensitivity, maybe it needed to be on high. It’s okay…not grand, but it shall do.
So yea…they got off at like…maybe 9:15…came on at 8:00, so they had a long set!
So yea…it was an insanely amazing night.
We left before Counting Crows…which worked out great- I was home by 10, and have just now finished uploading/editing photos and video. Sad stuff lol
It was quite odd. I didn’t cry during Without You Here, which was probably because I was so paranoid (after getting my tape taken away at the Hanson show a few years ago, I’m pretty cautious, but still get what I want lol), but geeessh ‘Become’ was soooo crazy! Eyes completely filled with tears the entire time.
Anyways. I should probably get to sleep. It’d be awesome if this actually got me on a good schedule.
ohhhh…but I got an overly spiffy shirt. I was sad- they didn’t have any shirts with the guys on there, except for this freaky ice blue one. I haven’t gotten to blue yet lol. Still on red and green! But yea, so I just got a black tour shirt, with the album cover on it. yay for good stuff!
