Current Status: Soaked and Tagged
T'is raining. T'is raining a lot. Tay and I wandered through twon earlier for she needed stuffs. The gods of H&M mocked her for we could find no long-sleeved, white shirts in a size... ten I think she needed. They had plenty of size 16's, so I'd have been fine if I'd brought my vouchers with me and, y'know, wanted a new shirt. Actually now I come to think of it... bother.
So twon was visited, reward card-type things were exchanged for smoothies, I was informed at the till in Boots that body spray was buy one get one free so I have vanilla and white musk (love the smell of vanilla, mmmm...) and we bought a thermos for tomorrow. Go us!
And then it started raining. I, in my capacity as Tayles' hand maiden (without the skimpy outfit it should be pointed out), did my best to keep us dry-ish with my brolly. It rained harder. As we neared Agnes Jones there were a few warning rumbles of thunder and then, no sooner had we got in through the door, the heavens opened. Literally. And then the biggest rumble of thunder I have ever, ever heard (I kid ye not) crashed above our heads and Tayles came bouncing into my room going 'How cool was that!'. Which it was... love thunderstorms! But it seems to be over now, we're back to just rain, although its still pretty heavy. And I'm trying to dry my clothes on my radiator but the damn thing isn't working! *glares at radiator*

1. Total number of books owned? Err... *counts* one, two, many, lots! On my shelves here I have...62. But two of those belong to Jay. And then I have many, many more back home. Every single room at home has books in it, yes even the bathroom!
2. The last book you bought? For myself? 'A Hat Full of Sky' by Pratchett *worships* yes so its one of the 'kid' ones but I loved 'Wee Free Men' and it has the same characters in it. And, y'know, its Pratchett, even when he has a bad day its far better than what most writers can manage at their best.
3. The last book you read? 'Magic's Promise' by Mercedes Lackey because Tay told me to. I put off borrowing 'Magic's Pawn' from her until the exams were over because I've had some fairly major spoilers for that one and... argh! That's a point, I really should swipe that off her soon... like before she goes back to St. Ives!
4. 5 books that mean a lot to you?
- Nightwatch. Because.
- The Chronicles of Narnia. Introduced me to fantasy, encouraged me to make up my own world and made me want to be the White Witch.
- Artemis Fowl. All three books because Artemis kicks butt without ever raising a finger. And I love the way he grows up and matures without actually becoming a 'good guy'. He is and always will be a criminal mastermind and I love him.
- The Harry Potter series. Don't mock me, I happen to like them.
- My own. They may not be in proper book form yet but damnit they will be one day! And my life would be so dull without Ion, Yatr, Regina, the Countess, Julianna and the others around.
