Has it really been that long?
I knew I'd been writing Nile Blue for a while but I just went back and checked... chapter one was written on 21st January 2006. That makes next Sunday the story's first anniversary! So that's my target for getting chapter twenty done by... no promises though!
Current Nile Blue word count: 45,000
Current chapter count: 19
If I do finish chapter 20 by next Sunday that'll have been an average of one chapter every two and a half weeks (not that it feels like that for those of you who are still reading it, I know ^_^;;) but considering how much else has happened this past year - writing my dissertation, taking final exams and finishing university, leaving Liverpool and LAS, moving house, working at Shoosmiths and the CCRC, the sister going to university, joining the choir, going to America, my Birthday, Christmas, family stuff and visiting Liverpool - to have done so much on just one fic still amazes me. And that this is in addition to all the little (and not so little) one-offs along the way surprises me even more.
So just for the hell of it - this is my pick of the twelve eleven best pieces of fiction I've written over the past twelve months ^__^

The twelfth fic is something you're going to have to wait for. It's my half of KY's Narnia fic and personally, I think it's better than all of that lot put together.
Edit: Horoscopes are a load of gibberish and vague musings that are never even remotely relevant, right?
A future course of action that you may or may not take could depend on information you should receive today, dear Capricorn. However, don't be surprised if the information is vague and needs to be clarified. On top of it all, you might not be able to reach the person who can clear it all up for you! Hang in there and keep pushing. You'll want to make up your mind as soon as possible.
This morning my Dad dropped an email onto my desk regarding something that I'd talked about doing with the Chair of the District when he was here before Christmas. I'm in two minds about it, the information does need clarifying and as Father is out all day, I can't talk to him about it. Oh and the deadline for making a decision is in the next few days...
