Advent begins today!
First Sunday of Advent is today so... I didn't go to church. I stayed home, toyed with a drunken Oishi (this will eventually be pixxers fault) and watched 'Eureka 7'. I've missed that show.
In the process of looking up voice actors I got to scare my sister, which is always entertaining, by telling her that Tenipuri's Atobe = FMA's Greed = PMK's Yoshida and then that Kira = Suzumu (PMK). But I think what disturbed her the most was that Shigure (Fruba), Scar (FMA), Brad Crawford (Weiss), Tezuka, Treize and Byakuya all share the same voice. Although she did sum it up very well - Tezuka = toast, Byakuya = caviar on toast.
I wonder if I should also have mentioned that Eiri Yuki shares a VA with Aion (Chrno Crusade), Hatori (Fruba) and Gunter (Kyo Kara Maoh!)... or that Rukia is Serras Victoria...
And having spent several hours reading articles on the Guardian website, I found this -
Unlike their gauche male counterparts, female otaku like to socialise in online communities. Dubbed otome, or maidens, they gather in the bustling Ikebukuro district of Tokyo, a strip of bookstores selling fantastical costumes and dojinshi, pirate versions of well-known comics by amateur cartoonists. The most popular genre by far is 'boys love', tales of naughty romances between androgynous males, which has led some maidens to refer to themselves as fujoshi, or 'rotten ladies'.
Nile Blue 18 is finally up on TxN so now I can go back to playing with the Christmas fics people requested (if anyone else wants one feel free to go back to this post and request one).
Oh and I've been finally thinking about what I want for Christmas
1. More paid time on my journal (it currently runs out in January)
2. A spiffy new layout for my journal as my current one is rather old. I’d love something featuring my two major obsessions - writing and Tuti (Or Saito. Or Kazuki) and just so long as it wasn’t pink or bright yellow I’m sure I’d like it ^__^ (blue, green, purple, red, white and black all work though!)
3. Pretty icons for tpf_commander. Or a banner. Or even a layout. Anything featuring deserted city streets sucked of colour, or bustling crowds of people in something vaguely like medieval dress but without the heads showing, or ranks of people in military uniforms like this of the Countess not that I’m asking for much...
4. Final incontrovertible proof that Tuti and Nagayan are dating/sleeping together/married/all of the above (delete as applicable)
5. Kazuki singing ‘Happy Birthday’ (to me)
6. Fics! Something a little different like a smutty Eiji x Daiki fic with Daiki on top, or the Dirty Pair at Christmas (I would ask for non-smut but with those two I don’t know if it’s possible), or Gin doing just about anything (or anyone, I’m not fussed), or Saito x Aoyagi with snuggles and smooches.
7. Someone whose prepared to pay me to write full time, if they don’t expect me to marry them so much the better.
8. A copy of Gackt’s ‘Diabolos’ Tour DVD for my very own
9. Dangly red earrings (in fact, any dangly earrings would be nice - the weirder the better)
10. Imogen Heap’s ‘I Megaphone’ album
11. Saito.
12. Handcuffs (these will be needed if I wake up on Christmas morning to find Saito sitting at the end of my bed in my stockings)
13. The Addams Family or Addams Family Values on DVD or VHS (Region 2 please) because my copies have vanished and they were recorded off the TV years and years ago anyway.
14. Burimyu: Dark of the Bleeding Moon or whatever the hell they called it on DVD (oh wait, that's not out till January...)
15. A Nile Blue icon (or several), Niankhkhnum x Khnumhotep OTP!
16. Nightwish - End of an Era DVD
17. Tony Blair announcing his successor will be Eddie Izzard (or just Eddie on DVD, either works)
18. Any kind of machine that will give me more time to write (and sleep)
19. A banner of the Hyotei boys (Kazuki, Saito, KenKen, etc) for my Profile page because I’ve just realised that my love for them isn’t expressed there and it should be!
20. World peace.
Not that I think anyone needs reminding but I turn 22 on Christmas Eve too...
