Ms Dria Ba (Hons)

So I’m officially a graduate (just ignore the silly tassel going in my eye ok? ^^; ) and I have the certificate to prove it! The actual ceremony wasn’t as boring as I’d expected apart from the endless polite applause for loads of people I didn’t know (did spot two girls who were on my floor back in halls in the first year though), but at least it was vaguely more interesting than Prize Giving at school which made everyone want to bludgeon the Head and Deputy Heads to death with their chosen book. The lecturers were almost all there, Chris (aka baboon-head, remember me mentioning him? ><;) didn’t clap anybody, Snape sat next to Mark and said afterwards that he was sorry that he didn’t get to wear a floppy, squishy hat like Mark did, and Ian was there too but Roland and Liz weren’t. Roland turned up to the reception thing afterwards though. The others did too, arriving just when us five (Jo, Becs, Laura-bell, Sazzie and myself) had declared our intention of storming the department in order to hunt them down. They must have heard us ;)

But actually, the best bit of the entire graduating process was the evening before when we all met up at the non-smoking Wetherspoons, relegated our respective parents to the other end of the table and talked loudly about Tenimyu and reminisced about the past three years. During dessert Becs got her laptop out and we watched selected highlights of DL3 and the backstage footage with the sound down so we didn’t disturb anyone else (still got looked at funny by everyone who came past the table but oh well ^_^). I’ve missed the girls so much *sniffs* so just being able to be together and be silly (like usual) was really nice, especially after the last couple of weeks I’ve had ^^;;;;

Anyway. Back home and the only things worth noting are that 1) I’ve watched DL3 (finally), 2) I’ve watched *pnish* On volume 2 (again, finally!) and 3) I managed not to cry at DL3 (it was close but being interrupted by a guy from a removal firm looking round the house in order to give us a quote kind of ruined the mood) but did sob at Dinnerladies (in my defence it was the Christmas episode of series two and that always makes me cry). No other news, interview tomorrow morning, staff party thing here on Saturday (oh joy, I have to be sociable ><) and I miss people ^__^;
