haha so i've figured out Norma Jean's masterplan to popularity. first Norma Jean listened to Coalesce a lot and then put out "Bless The Martyr & Kiss The Child" and because the current christian hardcore kids had not gotten around to hearing Coalesce yet, they thought Norma Jean was revolutionary or unique. Now after given the chance to hear Norma Jean's latest "O God The Aftermath" i think they have been listening to a lot of Botch. Botch being yet another band that most current christian hardcore (bah, lets just say metalcore) kids haven't gotten around to hearing yet either. the most important difference here is that Coalesce and Botch were amazing, Norma Jean is far from amazing.

However, if you're going to play cheesy metalcore, you might as well go all out. Here's an opportunity to see a real metal band's joke metalcore song kill all those metalcore bands' attempts. http://xdoanex.com/xdoanex15.html its a video of Cephalic Carnage "Dying Will Be The Death Of Me" along with the cheesy title, you'll notice the bad sung vocals, the semi-swedish riffs, and the "chug chug chug wee!!" breakdown towards the end. Yet, you'll notice these masters make even a joke out to be awesome.

anything awesome going on this weekend?? where's the hangout?

livejournal sucks, i don't think anyone really uses this crap anymore. either that or nobody's life is interesting enough to put in print.
