 Psalm 130:3-4
        If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins,
                O Lord, who could stand?
        But with you there is forgiveness;
                 therefore you are feared.

During the Worship Team training we were asked: "What's the difference between mercy and grace?". Mercy is God absolving us to what we deserve. Grace on the other hand is us receiving something that of which we do not deserve. For example, it is mercy that we won't be experiencing the fires of hell as a consequence of our sins. On the other hand, it is grace that God loves us and that we will be able to spend eternity with him. To be merciful is a great deed. To be gracious is a noble cause. But to be both merciful and gracious at the same time, that is something only God can do.

Imagine having to give out your own son to die on the cross to pay for the sins of a people whom does not even deserve your attention. I firmly stand on my belief that no man will be able to do that. Because of his mercy he gave us a way to be redeemed from the fires of hell. Because of his grace he paid the price through the blood of his only begotten son and through Him we will have eternal life with Him in heaven. Nothing can really be greater than his love.

I have  pretty much given everything up to Him right now. I totally have given up control of my life and the things which I have desired today. I have come to accept that there really is nothing for me in this world. I should always set my eyes on Him who is on heaven for my home is there. But you know what, he was still gracious to me. Even with what has been happening he allowed me to still be friends with someone very important to me. Sometimes i feel that i do not deserve anymore that friendship but i'm thankful and that will be something that i'll try to take care of the rest of my life here on earth.

mercy, god, love, grace
