(no subject)
So I got a promotion at work. I'm a trainer now. The people are great and its a lot more laid back than the call floor. I've been doing it for about a month now. The first two weeks were easy, I was doing uptraining, which was just teaching new stuff that was coming out to people who already work there. So good, they understood it all cause they work there.. NOW, I'm becoming cetified to teach a new hire cable class. So teach the entire program to people who don't have a clue, for three weeks at a time. We're just ending week two now. To get certified I have to sit in on a class w/ a trainer who already has been. You help them with the class, learn how to do everything, then the next new hire class that comes in, you have to teach it yourself and the other trainer sits in and helps you. I know the program and stuff, but its all the computery stuff that I'm nervous about. I can't find anything on the hard drive for the powerpoints or where to go to find all the admin stuff. But I've still got a week :S I also got an e-mail address through work, loves. I can't get on MSN or hotmail, but i can check work mail as much as I want. Josh and I chat all day. We usually do lunch together at his place, as its right next to both of our work, and we always watch the price is right (I miss watching price is right with you jolene!), if I have to go back before the show ends, Josh will e-mail me and tell me who won what lol, sin.
The other day I got an e-mail asking if I'd be interested in going to Quebec in Feb. or early March as we're opening a center there, and they need people to go train the staff. Of course I said yes. It's not definite, but I was talking to the head trainer of the company (not just our center) and he said I should more than likely get to go, even for a few weeks. shopping shopping shopping. Only problem is, I don't know anyone in Quebec. And I clearly need someone who speaks English AND French, how else will I know what I'm paying for shoes? I never imagined when I started working there that I'd actually get to travel lol.
Work decided not to have a christmas party, but the training department did. So it's Saturday night. I can't wait. Everyones awesome and I think it'll be a fun drunk. It's a pot luck, and I don't cook. Luckily, Josh is my best friend and he does. We made an AWESOME dessert that everyone had better like, cause I don't normally do this. We're also all bringing a gift, that we'll later switch with someone else. The understanding is, bring liquor.
It's late, I have to go to bed. Sorry if I bored you with work stuff, I just got in the mood to type after I finished my entry to Santa (you know he checks lj too, right?) and MSN wasn't doing much for me.
