Knocked sockless!

Or something like that!

Because of, well, real life The Boy and I had stalled on our Dr. Who watching after Doomsday and have been, ever so slowly, trying to catch an episode of S3 when we can; which would be simple if we weren't committed to watching them together* but it's so much more fun that way. Our common free-time-in-which-tv-seems-like-a-good-idea has been extremely limited. Then again when you have four hours a week at the Temple with Bar Mitzvah prep and your parents make you practice for 30 minutes every night free time of any kind is fairly limited and generally better if it involves physical exertion. Thank goodness that's all done.

Which is just a long explanation/defense of why we just got to Human Nature and Family of Blood last night.

HOLY SHIT!

That was incredible television. There was certainly no plan to watch the second half last night but there was NO WAY either of us was going to bed before we were done.

I want to watch them again (and again) and maybe wallow in them a bit!

I also REALLY hope he gets most of his Japanese and Algebra done in study hall so he only has to work on his History paper and I can just maybe justify another episode tonight...cause he's going to LOVE Blink!

Then we just need to finish Torchwood S1 (rewatch for me, watch for him**), where we are up to Countrycide, and then he can delve into the year that never was!

*Yes, yes...I've seen a couple of stray episodes, like Blink and I watched Utopia, et al and Stolen Planet/Parting of the Ways when they came out but didn't have the rest of the seasons 3, 4, and 5 until the BBCA marathon around New Year's and the End of Time 2 premier.

**I totes waffled out about Day One and just flat out told him that there were graphic depictions of sex (fake sex, but still) that might embarrass him if we watched it together (and that the plot was dumb) but that there was some good character stuff and it was his choice if he wanted to watch it on his own, with me, with Dave, or not at all. He watched on his own, promised not to engage in anonymous night club bathroom sex, and then casually mentioned that Ianto was a lot more interesting after Cyberwoman. Which he ALSO watched without me! Betrayed!
