Book meme-age. Yeah, it's all I've got today...
Hmm, I'm really not sure where this one came from, it's been hanging around in my "incomplete" file with no attribution. I think it was purported to be from the BBC and the point was no one really reads these books? Hmm, perhaps not. It certainly seems Brit-centric and some of the choice are odd to me...why The Wasp Factory instead of any of Iain Bank's other books (or even Iain M. Bank's scifi), why all the Austen (for the most part don't people either not read Austen or read everything of hers listed here?) I'd even say it's gender-biased toward women as very few young men of my acquaintance read Anne of Green Gables (or Austen, actually), perhaps they think girls don't read Douglas Adams or Frank Herbert and that balances it out?
In other words this is useless bollocks but as it is an internet meme you knew that already. And I entertained myself, at least, filling it out.

ETA Okay between all the Horton Foote goodness last month and this meme and a random To Kill a Mockingbird reference the other day I have had to track down my copy and am about to settle in for a good reread to be followed shortly thereafter (Saturday, maybe) with a viewing of the movie. The only question is if I hook The Boy with the movie or get him to read the book first? I'm thinking book but that means I have to wait on the movie...Ah, parenting. But I'm not bored any longer!
