She knew maybe one word in Russian - that one - and she’d sat back on her heels in surprise. “Nyet? NYET? Are you kidding me? You just got thrown from a horse. You need to get to a hospital. Maybe the one you own.”
Ha!
Damnit - one moment of ill-timed vulnerability, and he’d set everything up for another family meltdown.
I like how Nikolas calls needing sleep 'ill-timed vulnerability'.
I like Stefan being Nik's father (I also don't dislike it when he's his uncle either - I know you prefer the relationship that way) but I agree with Nik that calling him 'uncle' sounds more natural at this point in their lives.
How bad could her life really be? I mean, yes, she wasn’t exactly sane, and she had lost custody of her son - those were not minor problems.
I don't know if it was a typo or not but I like the authorial POV coming in there for a minute.

LOL -- Sort of weirdly fun to write disoriented Stefan.

Seriously. But that said, Show Nik could learn from this Nik is a big way. Exercise some damn self-control!
I'm ... Bracing myself for yesterday's youtube clips. Sorry.

I *do* prefer Nikolas & Stefan not to be father and child, because in theory it's a more interesting choice. Not that they do much with it. But yeah, I always write the opposite. Though that's because all my fanfics started when that was *true*.

Mostly Liz. But everytime Nik spoke up he gave these hilarious lines to shut him up
Nik: It just happened! Lucky: . . . I don't even know what that means!
Nikolas wasn't too cringe inducing. He just kept saying 'don't blame Liz yadda yadda' but for the most part. I liked it better at the end when he had a scene with Lulu, he basically made a full confession to her without any disclaimers.
Lovely. It was a great read. I enjoyed Stefan. When he first appeared I was as nervous as Carly. It was a great entrance.
I *think*/hope that he came back to me easily. It felt like writing Stefan. He's certainly consistent -- in my world, at least.
Which is nice, since watching the show and writing Nikolas is total cognitive dissonance.
I like how Carly seemed more in control, despite the same negative thoughts and fears coming back on her in this chapter.
Since the last grand plaaaaan Carly's calmed, some. But I think it's mostly about Nikolas knowing her Deep Dark Secret and not caring. She's got the beginnings of some faith in their relationship and its continued existence.
I'm hoping her efforts to reconcile them won't ruffle her relationship with Nikolas. She was so set against trying, until the accident. And I was wondering the same, before Nikolas voiced his own untrusting fear, that perhaps they all fell right into Stefan's ploy.LOL -- Yeah, it's pretty hard to trust that he didn't do it to himself. I'd venture

Gah. Yeah. Caprica is the name of the central planet in BSG (they're all named for astrological signs) -- I actually haven't seen any of it yet. But it's a BSG prequel by many years, is my understanding.
Unfortunately, I'm strapped for time so I can't give you comments...but I start house/child sitting on Wednesday so I should have some free time. Cuz the "child" is a 16 year old boy. My main job is making sure he doesn't have a party while his folks are away and driving him places (no license yet).

Thanks for letting me know! I'm having a tough time getting a bead on the reaction to this one, so I will look forward to hearing from you later on! Crazy week here, too -- or was. I woke up sick this morning, so time is not somewhat on my side.
I have babysat a teenager before. The key seemed to be leaving her alone ;)

I thought Becky was really, really bad though.

And then he left and i was all... "So, Nikolas... What exactly do you have to live for at this point?"
Because... NOTHING. Ok, yes, the kid he ignores and feels he is bad for. But other than that? Nothing. Period. He's done.
I'm with Lucky -- I do not understand why he did this.
