Mostly Liz. But everytime Nik spoke up he gave these hilarious lines to shut him up
Nik: It just happened! Lucky: . . . I don't even know what that means!
Nikolas wasn't too cringe inducing. He just kept saying 'don't blame Liz yadda yadda' but for the most part. I liked it better at the end when he had a scene with Lulu, he basically made a full confession to her without any disclaimers.

Honestly I'm having a hard time holding it against Liz and Nik,because the way they did this affair is out-of-character for both of them. I could buy it - maybe - if Lucky and Liz weren't engaged at the time.
If they went with jealousy on Nikolas' part - if they went straight out with he was jealous of Lucky's happiness with his fiancee and his kids - and Nikolas couldn't even find any enthusiasm ebout anything in his life, even his son - I would find that more sympathetic and understandable than 'well I suddenly fell into UNCONTROLLABLE lust with Liz after knowing her for 13 years'.
I liked that above all, underneath the anger and the pain, Lucky seemed to be just as confused about it as everyone in the audience.
Also. Tony Geary's hair is reaching dangerously close to his 1996 shag.

Right. But they WEREN'T, originally, right? Lucky and Liz were just co-parenting, they weren't dating or anything, right? and then Liz went and got engaged to him at THAT is the point where I lost my ability to make sense out of them. Once Lucky's feelings were on the table and once Liz was openly screwing around with his head... NIkolas? SELF RESTRAINT. You needz it.

There's ... as distasteful as this story became to me... Initially it

I don't even remember. Yeah, I think the enagement came later. I do think Liz made this mess worse. Why? Why be engaged to Lucky when he gave her an OUT? Besides the fact that Guza just wanted to make her look like a monster.
It's too bad TPTB forgot that Alexis and Nikolas are related, because I would love to see Alexis' reaction face.
My problem is that I cannot come up with a single reason for Lucky to bother with him every again. Not one. I just... Why? Why would he go down that road?
True. That makes me sad.
Maybe it's the hair that contains his power of not-terrible parenting.I think you have figured out the mystery! Either that or it's in protest of Tracy'

The engagement kinda sorta happened after they slept together.dreamylyfeJanuary 27 2010, 03:04:47 UTC
The kid... Jake? Yeah, Jake was hurt, Lucky proposed, and Liz -- who had already responded to Hurt Kid by making out with Nikolas in the hall outside the ICU -- ran off to Wyndemere and she and Nikolas *finally* slept together. And then she hightailed it back to PC to do the worst possible thing she could do -- to tell Lucky she'd marry him.
ALEXIS. Damn, you know, they are making ME forget they're related. Man.
Gah. I even started tossing around short story ideas to address this, but I got nothing. And the tears! It's going to take me a long long time to forgive Nikolas for those tears. I can't even adequately unpack how I feel about that yet.

Oh, what did you think about Rebecca Herbst? Because a lot of people were saying she was good, even with the baby voice. I thought she was alright, but then the end where she was crying and throwing stuff really didn't work for me.
Re: hie you to youtubedreamylyfeJanuary 26 2010, 19:02:58 UTC
Oh, I thought RH was in her wheel house. She's always been able to cry. So she... cried.
Yes, the throwing bit was ridiculous, and I hated hated hated the "I hate you now" to Nikolas, just because she keeps going on about how damaged Nikolas is while treating him like absolute garbage -- and there he is, projecting all his issues on her, defending her to the last... It's twisted. Deeply twisted.

I thought Becky was really, really bad though.

And then he left and i was all... "So, Nikolas... What exactly do you have to live for at this point?"
Because... NOTHING. Ok, yes, the kid he ignores and feels he is bad for. But other than that? Nothing. Period. He's done.
I'm with Lucky -- I do not understand why he did this.
