Just a little bio...

I thought I'd share a little about myself for anyone who cares to look. XD Plus it's definitely high time I posted something in my sad excuse for a journal. XP
Before I start rambling, though, I'd like to thank everyone who's friended me! *huggles* I was really busy when I started livejournal, so I never really made an effort to find friends or ( Read more... )

Hey, it's nice to meet you, Karen. ^-^ ! Aw, you're an only child? I have two older sisters who I'm very close to, but they are both in their 30s, so we don't have too, too much in common with each other. My parents waited forever to have a third child (me), so I'm the super little sister in comparison.

Where do you want to go for college? I'm graduating from UCF in August. It's a good school. :) I like it. There are a lot of engineers there, and my major is molecular biology & microbiology, so I can't vouch for the eng department as a whole, but I think it's pretty good and you should find it fulfilling if you go there.

I am a massive yaoi fangirl myself. :D I can't read/watch most shoujo. I find it soooo boring.

I really love fashion, too! I'm not the most fashionably dressed, but I like watching shows like America's Next Top Model and Project Runway because I like the world of modeling, couture, and fashion.

From your list, I am familiar with Saiyuki, Kuroshitsuji, Ouran HSHC, Fake, and I'm OBSESSED with Gravitation and Loveless.

I am very eclectic in my musical tastes, too. I like everything from classical to rock to rap to folk to acoustic, etc etc. Do you have any artists/songs you would recommend? :)

Yup one and only :/ That is quite an age gap :O Sometimes I wish I had siblings >_<

I actually have an obsession with the ivy leagues and foreign schools anything away from Florida :P
I'm not really keen on UCF, I know there's a lot of engineers there, but the math department, where my Dad studied, apparently wasn't very good at all :[ Although maybe that was just at the Graduate/Doctorate level. I'm glad to hear that the biology areas are good though :)

I find most shoujo boring too; always have, I was so thrilled to discover yaoi lol

Yay for fashion! And anime/manga XD

Eclectic is best :D Hmm, artists/songs? I've been listening to a lot of K-pop/J-pop recently... so if you don't mind listening to a foreign language I'd recommend Park Bom - Don't Cry, JYJ - Itsudatte Kimi Ni, Kana Nishino - Dear, Epik High - One, or CN Blue - Intuition... then again, I've been listening to the Kuro OST lately a lot too lol /sorry for the litany >.<

An obsession, you say? XD May I ask, what schools would you recommend for biomedical sciences? I've been looking at quite a few, but I'd like to hear if you know of any I haven't considered yet.

I love the Kuro OST. >_> I adore classical music, so I was more than thrilled watching Kuro and hearing so much of it there. <3 Thank you for the recs!! I will check them out. :)

I haven't actually looked into what schools are great for biomedical sciences *facepalm* Still sorting through the endless list of engineering options XP Generally, for myself, when evaluating any school for one of the sciences, I look for what specific facilities they have on campus that relate to my particular area of interest; what companies the college is associated with for research, etc.; what research/studies they conduct and have conducted; the connections/credentials the professors have; what type of classes they offer; what work experience options are available, if you're into hands-on stuff; preferably what percentage of graduates are hired in their field of study, what salary they make, and if they are still employed in that area; etc. Probably all stuff you know already, though :P

Me too :) Do you have any music recs? I need more variety in my life XD
