Well, happy late 4th.
Figured I would give an actual update, and one that does not require a future deletion. I've been slightly appathethic lately, which has led me to be quite frivilious with the way I spend my time. I've probably been drinking and dancing more than I should, and I've come to find that I've lost that attatchment to people again. The cyborg rises again. Though, for once, I still have a close circle of friends that I honestly care about.... and for that I am happy. As for everything else, I seem to be focused on just getting through and doing something after I graduate. If all else fails, I'll be sending in my application to the peace corps soon. I don't know why I always make such a fuss about having someone to love. With love, moving to another country... or even state wouldn't be possible. I would remain stagnant and unchanged. My curse is also a blessing.
In other news, I've been thinking a lot more about religions lately. Not that I agree so much with any particular religion... I just miss the ritual... and the fun.
I leave you with the disilusioned romanticism of simon and garfunkle:
"Let us be lovers we'll marry our fortunes together"
"I've got some real estate here in my bag"
So we bought a pack of cigarettes and Mrs. Wagner pies
And we walked off to look for America
"Kathy," I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
"Michigan seems like a dream to me now"
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I've gone to look for America
Laughing on the bus
Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy
I said "Be careful his bowtie is really a camera"
"Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat"
"We smoked the last one an hour ago"
So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine
And the moon rose over an open field
"Kathy, I'm lost," I said, though I knew she was sleeping
I'm empty and aching and I don't know why
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They've all gone to look for America
All gone to look for America
All gone to look for America
