So I downloaded the live action Sailor Moon after refusing to for awhile and oh god, it was like a train wreck and a crack addiction all at once.
It made me remember why I loved Sailor Moon so much growing up. It's a simple story: Friendship, fighting evil dudes, romance. I loved the anime as a kid...and the manga/comics as a young adult...and now at almost 22 I can love the cheesy, little kid aimed live action show that probably contained the worst acting I've ever seen in my life. Plus they tried to shove every concept of 5 seasons of Sailor Moon into 49 episodes and mixed in stuff from the manga. It was insane. Yet I loved it.
Seriously though. It was addicting. I watched all 49 episodes in about 4 days or so. Probably because Mamoru was so hot. My love for Tuxedo Mask has come back. It's so wonderful when they make my favorite anime characters real so I can justify having crushes on them:D. hahah. I think they did a good job in casting period though--when you look at the characters they DO look like the anime versions and I thought that was neat.
and I still like to pretend that I am actually Sailor Venus:D. haha that was my character in junior high. There was a whole group of us that got together and pretended to be Sailor Senshi. I was Sailor Venus, my sister was Sailor Moon...we had someone for Jupiter, Mars, Mercury...even chibi moon! We had a sailor senshi sleep over and everything. it was hilarious.
I'm on a quest now to complete my sailor moon collection. I have most of the comics but ended up never getting the last couple of issues as well as a few in between because of my inability to get to the comic store. I also want to track down a Sailor Venus transformation stick...I always wanted one but never had a job to pay for it.
okay okay. enough SM rambling. The live action show just brought back all these memories:) hehe.
School starts Tuesday. Not looking forward to it. Especially now that I'm working 41 hours next week... and 8 days straight. Thursday to Thursday. I'm probably going to die. I have ONE day off next week. First week of school is going to blow. At least this is my last year of undergrad...
I get free lunch at Alebrije tomorrow! Jessi's coworker put a business card into this thing there and they won a free lunch so they invited me. mwahaha. sooooo good.
Crystal and I went to King of Prussia mall yesterday. It was a hilarious time. We saw a cop on a segway! It should have been in a tv sitcom it looked so funny. We also went into all the fancy department stores and made fun of everything. I got a cinnabon and dunkin donuts coffee...mmmm. We were suppose to actually go to Philly and hang out on south street and such but of course our last big summer adventure had to be rained out. We still had a good time though, which is all that mattered.
hmmm...and one of these days I think I'm going to sit down and figure out some things. Right now I have too many obligations with too many people to think a lot of important things out thoroughly. I probably shouldn't keep putting it all off...but maybe it's just best if things stay the way they are...
that is all.
toodle-goo.
PS-I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY THAT ADULT SWIM IS TAKING SHIN-CHAN OFF. DEAR ADULT SWIM: THAT IS THE BEST SHOW YOU'VE HAD ON IN YEARS. thank you. have a nice day.
