Feeling down in the dumps on the job front. I had an interview today for a 2 month sub position, and I have no idea how it went. It's getting really difficult seeing all the people that got a full-time teaching job right out of undergrad or grad school. Am I not trying hard enough? Do I not know the right people? Am I not talented enough?

Alright, enough of that. It's been a relaxing week. Best news of the week - my best friend from childhood asked me to be a bridesmaid! I'm so freaking excited to be a part of her wedding. :-)
I decided to create an online portfolio. I'm using wordpress.com, and it's going alright. Took forever to find a theme that would work the way I wanted it to. Now I'm just trying to put my lesson plans into a format that won't look messy on the website. Once it looks a little better I'll post the link.
But tomorrow I'm taking a break from the job search and finally tackling my extremely messy room. I'm going to sort and organize and, since I'll probably be living here for another year, make my room feel like a home, a place to relax in, and not just a place to sleep.
My family bought a new couch for the family room. It's so comfy, and it doesn't hurt our backs and butts like the old one was. So that's a very good thing.
Okay, I'm going to go to bed and read. Hope life is good with all of you!
