I have kind of a strange question. We got attacked by one of the monsters here, but when we tried to fight we couldn't do anything. I couldn't even use my cards! Has anyone here had the same thing happen?

Oh, and if that's the case I suspect it's because of the chip. You will likely need to avoid most of the monsters under your current circumstances.

It's an obnoxious little device the scientists put in all those who arrive here, to keep track of them, and suppress any supernatural or magical abilities they may have. I'm not completely sure of the extent of the abilities it suppresses, but I haven't been able to use a lick of magic since my arrival.
