Was bored so I’ve decided to do this translation~ This is part one, I'll post the other one up soon!
Q1: Tell us what made you smile recently!
Daiki: When I watch a surreal drama that I’m interested in, I’ll laugh out without noticing it. My mum whom was sitting beside me gave me a questioning look.
Takaki: I had a meal with a friend I haven’t seen for quite some time. It was fun and I think I can just laugh naturally.
Inoo: We made a cake while doing a photoshoot, and the strawberries weren’t enough and we pass raspberries off as them. (laugh)
Hikaru: Watching a comedy show with Samazu-san in it.
Yabu: Recently? Perhaps they asked us to smile during a photoshoot? I’ll give a full smile to go with it.
Q2: What are the “origin” of your smile?
Daiki: That would probably be the members. When we have interviews and gather like that, we have random chats and it’s fun.
Takaki: Family, friends, nature. When these 3 are combined, it’s the best.
Kei: When I eat I’ll just smile. As expected when you put something delicious in your mouth, you’ll smile naturally.
Hikaru: Talking with people. When we are resting during our stageplay and such, it’s nice to relax after focusing so much by having random chats!
Yabu: When I’m with my friends. You’ll just smile naturally no matter what, and you’ll get hyped up and I like the feeling where you can talk about anything you want and it feels relaxing.
Q3: What member makes you smile with their actions?
Daiki: When I see the excited Chinen I’ll laugh!
Takaki: When Yuto plays air drums on his laps. I’ll smile thinking, “He’s doing that again, heh.”
Kei: When Yuto does gestures and talk at the same time, it’s pretty hilarious.
Hikaru: When Keito is sweating. Despite him sweating more than a usual person, he’d still always grey shirts that shows it off easily. (laugh)
Yabu: When Keito does this scratching his head gesture. Even though he does this often, he’d do it with a smile and it’s kind of healing for me.
Q4: I like this person’s smile!
Daiki: Mona Lisa. It’s the world famous “Smile” after all. They say her expression changes when you look at it from different sides and it has a mysterious charm to it.
Takaki: My friends whom are usually cool whom would show their childish smiles from time to time. Their faces would be scrunched up, and it looks really funny.
Kei: It’s not really people, but I love the expression on my dogs when they are trying to get attention.
Hikaru: In the movie [Real Steel], Hugh Jackman. He had a super gentle smile towards his son.
Yabu: The smile of Sakurai-san of Mr Children during his live!
Q5: What would you do to make the person you like, smile?
Daiki: First of all I’ll lure her into my world of fun. I’m good at making people whom are spacing out at our lives laugh.
Takaki: There’s nothing else I can do except making weird faces. Like when she’s mad or sulking, she’ll go, “Ah~ What the heck~?” and just laugh?
Inoo: I’ll talk a lot to her, and cook for her.
Hikaru: I’ll talk about funny stuff that I know. It’s not conversations that I won’t fail at, but I have various jokes under my sleeves.(laugh)
Yabu: I wonder if she’ll laugh if I talk about my failures. “I failed at such a thing during work~” and make her chuckle.
Q6: What places make you smile?
Daiki: Places when there are people. Not only to the staff at work, but I also like talking to taxi drivers.
Takaki: My house. My friends would come over and we’ll have dumb conversations, laugh while watching TV, it’s a space where we can have tons of fun.
Inoo: The sea. No matter who, when they get splashed by waves they’d smile!
Hikaru: That would probably be the stage. I’m doing this job cause I like it, and when I make everyone smile I’ll end up smiling naturally myself too.
Yabu: That would be the stage. I’m able to just smile, and it’s also a place where the fans smile.
Q7: The secret behind your smile?
Daiki: It’s important to enjoy the things that you are doing.
Takaki: Enjoy everyday! And also, thinking about the person that you like should be the best secret? (laugh)
Inoo: There’s no secret!(laugh) Because I just smile naturally.
Hikaru: Communication! During photoshoots, the interaction with the photographer will create smiles.
Yabu: Actually I’m not that good at smiling. (laugh) That’s why I would rather want you guys to teach me how to smile instead.
Q8: If you were to put a catchphrase for your smile?
Daiki: “If you don’t laugh, I'll make you laugh ” Toyotomi Hideyoshi Style!
Takaki: “Laugh with full marks” When you are in the zone, you'd really laugh out loud, at that time my smile should be full marks (laugh)
Inoo: A smile that has without worries!
Hikaru: “I have 八重歯 tooth(Double tooth)” My name already has 八, I guess there’s some kind of fate involved?!
Yabu: How about “Kamome(seagull) smile”? When I smile, my eyes narrows, and it because the shape of kamome and it’s cute. (laugh)
Q9: A gag that will definitely make you laugh?
Daiki: The impersonation of our high school teacher that Yuto makes. It really looks like him that it’s the best.
Takaki: the impersonation of Takeda Tetsuya that my friends make. My other friend would join in the fun and it would become a conversation between the Takedas and it’s really funny.
Inoo: That would probably be [Gachoon!] Though it's an old gag of Tani Kei , despite the history it's still funny.
Hikaru: Kisumai’s Miyacchi’s gag. I laughed at [DREAM BOYS] too~
Yabu: Taka and Toshi’s [Oreda Oreda Oreda~!] is a gag that I like. I like people with that much vigor.
Q10: A smile that has been taught and can be done, please tell us!
Daiki: When I went to the cheer the victims up at Miyazaki, I’ve received courage from them instead.
Takaki: When you are down, get cheered up by your friends’ smiles.
Inoo: When I get tired from work and get home, my dog would stick to me with an expression that is like a smile, that will blow all the exhaustion away.
Hikaru: When a kid falls and cry and smiles the moment his mum reaches out to him.
Yabu: When I see the audience’s smile my excitement goes up!
