When do you feel when JUMP has grown?
As expected it would be during concerts or during SUMMARY, as the number of performances increase every year, whether it’s once or twice in the Tokyo dome. Such growth can’t be seen with the naked eye I guess.
When you think of JUMP, what kind of priority/preference do you think of?
I wonder what? Isn’t it good to just do it without thinking? (laugh) Do what you like accordingly, if you are able to do that it’s a group. If a pattern/figure is form it would be boring. Do as you like!
JUMP’s strong point?
We do the most performances compared to the other groups, so it’s like the way we act in concert, and isn’t there also tons of variations? Because we have to give a different performance everytime. For that, the time we spent together is also long.
Do you feel anything towards your juniors that debuted?
When we were juniors, A.B.C-z and Kisumai and I were together, so I don’t really have the view that they are juniors. Because we don’t get chances to work together after debuting, when we were with A.B.C-z in Hong Kong it was really funny. It would be good if we would have that chance again.
This year is your 5th year anniversary?
Speaking of 5 years it’s really long. It’s already our fifth anniversary huh…. I was a high school student then, hm….
It’s kind of hard to belive?
I think time really went by quickly. Though you look back, it feels like it went by in a flash, but if you think about it properly if you say it’s long, it’s long. It was a 5 years filled with tons of stuff. When we reach our 10th year, I hope we will be so good that thinking back, the current us would seem meaningless.(laugh) And I want to work hard thinking of what will come for the next 5 years.
What do you want to strengthen from now?
If I can graduate next year, I can finally resolute with JUMP. When that time comes, I think my attitude towards work and the time I take will change, I’m looking forward to it. Though I have to press on until I graduate. Though I think it will be good to accomplish something interesting, I can’t think of anything now. I want to think about the rest of my remaining school days.
Is it tough juggling between school and work?
Yes it is. To be multi-tasking like that. But I’ve finally went to study, it would be good if I can extend that more. Since I’m majoring in Architecture, I want to do something like Stage design. When I graduate I’ll have more time, maybe I’ll get to do something really different. When I was in high school, I also had the choice to work, though I’m not sure if choosing University is the best choice, I think I can at least see another part of the word and widen my vision. Because I don’t want to live in a small world. I’ve also made many friends. Like the different meetings and the stimulation that I’ve received, I think what I’ve gotten from Uni is really huge.
I truly belive he made the right choice. I really do.
