coming to town
I still have some phone calls to make, but here's what I've decided:
1. I'm checking with the community college's automotive program to see if they would be able to work on my car's busted transmission. I know some programs will do so for the cost of the parts only. Hopefully they're willing to take a foreign car. If they can do it, my car is saved (although I'll be carless, probably for the semester). I've been carless for a loong time, and i'll survive.
2. If they can't save my car, I'll either try to sell it or, if that fails, donate it.
3. I'm still driving to Gettysburg with a rental car, and I'm still planning on stopping in Pgh for a late-ish lunch.
So, if anyone wants to meet up, I'll be at Harris's from around 12-2ish on Friday, depending on traffic and construction.
I might also be stopping by on the way home, but that depends on who's able to come out on Monday.. I have to be back at Ann Arbor with the car by 6 pm, so it'll be a quick lunch (if any). Let me know!
