So, if you read Brian's blog at all, you already know about our little Mac saga. Well, I sit here tonight blogging from our new Mac. If you haven't read Brian's blog, let me fill you in:
Monday we went and bought a new iMac. We were all excited to get it home and start playing around with it. Brian was going to install Office on it and noticed that the CD drive would not read a disk. Bummer. So, we figured that it could be a freak thing (it happens) and Brian took it back on Tuesday and exchanged it for another.
We got that one home and Brian was able to install Office just fine...until he went to eject the CD, that is. The CD drive would not eject a CD. So, we boxed it back up again (with the CD still in it) and I brought it back to the store today.
I walked into the store and told the guy there (who I later learned was the manger) that if he could bring me another iMac from the back, unbox it right there in front of me, let me prove that everything works, and box it back up in front of me, I would not ask for a refund...otherwise, I want my money back! He was very nice and helpful. He went straight to their back room and brought a brand new one out. He unboxed it and we made sure that everything worked. I brought it home and I am now blogging from said iMac. And there was much rejoicing (YAY!).
Now, I am installing updates on it. Hopefully, it is not the updates that are making the drive not work properly. I guess we'll find out, huh?
