Why?! Why the senseless destruction of innocent lives? I don't understand it; I don't want to understand it.

I haven't updated this journal in the past week or so. My last entry talked about Mom being in the hospital and everything. Long story short, she didn't wake up, I pulled life support, and she passed away on Weds., July 16, around 7:15 a.m. or so. When I was growing up, my dad had a best friend named Lee who lived out in Chicago--where my dad grew up. Over the years, he and his wife Peggy have been friends of the family, and I've gotten to see them on several different occasions. I'm unsure what to write. I found at at 11:30-ish today (well, yesterday), that someone that I liked and respected died Wed., November 9. He died of a heart attack at the age of 20, while playing or right after playing soccer. I went to high school with him, and had several classes with him.
