I've been super lazy lately and I hate it.
Louisiana was amazing. I want to go back so bad. We stayed in Springhill, which takes basically 5min to drive through, has a sonic and only one store that stays open all night, so if you have to go to the bathroom while you're out late you have to drive forever or go behind a bush.
The first night we were there we went out with Alexis' cousin Brittany, and did what it seems they always do. Drove around, went to sonic, met up in a parking lot, went to the middle of nowhere and looked at the stars, or atleast Alexis&I did, nobody else thought it was a big deal to actually see them. A lot of the people we hung out with were 18-21, so there was always atleast some alcohol. But it was different in that people weren't just downing stuff with the intention of getting throwed like they do here, and they didn't use it as an excuse to do dumb shit. I suppose because they're older and are past that. Every night to follow was more or less the same, and I know it sounds completely simple but I'd never felt more content and happy doing almost nothing all summer, even if I was surrounded by people I didn't know.
There was this one convienent store they called the Arab store, and it had one of those games where you slide a quarter down the slot and it falls down to all the other quarters that are being pushed forward and the more you put in the more quarters fall at the bottom. They would sit there and play it forever, and it was hilarious.
Every time somebody asked where we were from and we said Dallas they would start apologizing for Springhill being so lame and boring and blabla. I don't think any of them believed me when I said I actually really liked it.
I didn't get any sleep the second night, so by the time we left thursday night I had been up for.. a really long time. Haha. I could never figure out why I didn't fall asleep.
It rained there a lot. But it wasn't the annoying kind of rain. One time Alexis&I went out and played in the rain while everyone was still asleep.
There was a church sign that made me laugh a lot. "You think it's hot here ?"
Damn I just really miss it. Being home has been great and all, and I honestly don't know how I became so attached to that place. We made plans to possibly go back the weekend after school starts, so I'm excited about that.
My birthday is in 16 days. School is in 15 days.
Friday was a really bad day for no reason in particular. I had to register for school and they kept giving me shit about residency stuff, I was already extremely tired and hot and frustrated. And a lot of other things. But oh well, I lived.
Yesterday was a good day.
