so much to say right now.
i will start here. i am currently in camp [XXXXXX]. i arrived at camp [XXXXXX] before coming here about a week and 2 days ago, i think. it was about a 24 hour flight from the states here, and it sucked. i was sweating, and i smelled like raunch balls. today i got a shower, not a warm shower by no means, but still felt good. especially since it was the first since i showered with jen(which was back home in pa). on the 8th, my team will be moving out to go to camp [XXXXXXX] while the most of the main body heads more north to FOB [XXXXXXXX]. this camp is pretty nice for the desert. has a little px, this little internet place. tents. not bad. the last three days i spent out in the cold on a convoy live fire training exercise. if anyone has checked the weather channel lately they would see that it is not the time of the year to be sleeping on the ground in kuwait right now. i am a little pissed also because the regular army company that did training with us not only stole my poly pro top and poncho liner, but they are also ate the fuck up. BAD. half of them were fucking brain dead.
christmas is soon, and even though i am not there to spend time with Jen, i am looking foward to make up in upcoming winters with her. i know she is lonely, and i miss her too. i am really surprised at how well she is doing. Jen, i hope you are ok, and don't worry about the van, it is fine and i am especially glad that you are too.
the guys running the range out there are employees of L3 communication, the same company that i work for. they are out there, having fun and making 15k-20k a month. they also introduced me to a member of KBR. another gov contract company that said i can start after my deployment and go to kuwait for a year working on gens and make about 22k a month with them. i thought about it and i have to talk it over with jen.
for now my time is up
