Title: First Kiss
Fandom: The Invisible Man
Pairing: Hobbes+Fawkes
Word Count: 356
Summary: One of Chrysalis' agents has an odd condition of surrender.

For Sheera,

“Let her go and I won’t shoot you!”

“Like you’d risk hitting this little missy, baldy.” The woman’s smirk widened when Bobby’s face twitched. “And I can see you, Fawkes,” she added, mentally thanking her partner for insisting on thermals. Keeping awe from showing on her face as the quicksilver fell from his body like a small flurry of sparkly snow was difficult, but she managed.

“Just let the Keep go,” the younger man pleaded, frustrated that his little trick didn’t work.

“I will, if you do something for me,” she proposed, realizing that her getaway driver would leave without her if she didn’t show up soon.

“What do you want?” The short man barked. “You better not be plannin’ somethin’ that’ll hurt me or my partner here, or I’ll cap ya right now.

“Well, I guess it depends on how good of a kisser you are.” She said sweetly. The woman whose throat she was holding a knife to made a startled sound through her gag.

It took the boys a little longer to figure out though.

“Whatdya mean? Bobby Hobbes is a mighty fine kisser!”

“I’ll let her go if you kiss him,” she nodded towards the lanky man beside him. “On the lips, for a minute,” she added.

“Wait a minute,” the younger one was blushing, “are you serious?”

“Quite.” More than she was a few seconds ago anyway. “Than I’ll surrender peacefully.”

“Why should we believe you?”

“Because I’m the one with the hostage.”

With an uneasy look towards his partner, the short man pulled the lanky man down to his level. “It’s just a kiss.” He murmured, mostly to himself.

Fawkes’ dark eyes closed the moment their lips met.

The woman watched the two men kiss, slightly stunned that they hadn’t put up much of an argument. ‘There’s definitely some tongue there,’ she thought after a moment, some colour rising to her cheeks as they started to kiss more forcefully, bodies pressing closer and closer.

Deciding they were happily occupied with each other, she removed the knife from her hostage's throat and started to run.

Her mistake was assuming that her hostage was not a threat.
