Defend intelligent public spending

the Senate will vote on the bill that would defund Planned Parenthood, among a number of other important social services, before March 4. If you care about these incredibly problematic spending cuts, please contact your Senators immediately and urge them to vote no on the bill. The  aide will ask you for your zip code, but other than that you don't need to give them any other personal information. The calls take less than two minutes apiece.

and in case you haven't already heard this horrifying statistic, the amount of money this bill would take away from planned parenthood would only be enough to keep the war effort in Iraq and Afghanistan going for an additional four hours.
