Ok, Weather Gods...

Have you looked at the date? It's April 14th. MID-APRIL, squarely. We've had WEEKS since the first day of Spring officially came. And we have had one, ONE day of truly gorgeous spring weather so far. We've had nice days, yes, with sunshine and chirping birds and slightly warmer temperatures, but not NEARLY enough actual warmth. I still have the eiderdown comforter on the bed. The daffodils have only JUST starting blooming. Most of the trees look at me with disbelief when I ask them, politely, to please put on some buds already. The magnolia trees on campus are doing their valiant best to bloom, but they keep shrinking back into themselves. I am wearing a cashmere sweater today and my winter coat and I was STILL chilly as I walked up to school this morning.

Weather gods, GET WITH THE PROGRAM ALREADY!!!
