We have a full house at the Inn. I was talking about giving them a big Boxing Day dinner; (traditionally, that's the left-overs from Christmas, but still...) Everybody looked at me as though I was suggesting some strange, exotic foriegn custom - well, I suppose I was, really.

Firewalled, I seem to have settled here, as much as I can consider settling anywhere, now. I wonder what my family were doing today? I can guess - I'm sure daddy is still fuming, unless they've decided to defy the ban and hunt anyway! It's ironic that now I can hunt and they can't! The Council will almost certainly have told them that I was "expended." I hope Travers said that I died bravely. I'm sure they'll think that was a euphemism for some stupid accident.

It's odd, I was feeling regretful, but I'm really much more the daughter that they wanted now than I ever was when I was living at home, or working for the Council. I can tackle far more than I used to - and I can most certainly hunt! Actually, foxes are fun, but they smell vile and they aren't really edible.
/firewall.

I'm glad they turned down the Boxing Day dinner. This way I get time off. Grant and I are taking a picnic basket down to the beach. I can't really get over doing that in Christmas week, but the temperature here is in the 70s and - I've seen worse summer days, at home. It's time we relaxed for a bit.
